Women are the backbone of many households in Baringo North. Supporting women means strengthening families, improving livelihoods, and creating more resilient communities. The Foundation has invested in practical initiatives that help women increase incomes, expand businesses, and improve their quality of life.Â
In Kureshun Village, Saimo Kipsaraman Ward, through TOKEI FOUNDATION a market shade was constructed to provide shelter for women selling farm produce. Flood lighting was installed to improve visibility during evening trading hours, allowing traders to operate safely while extending business opportunities beyond daylight hours. This investment supports local entrepreneurship, increases household incomes, and strengthens community resilience.

TOKEI Foundation is a community-centred non-profit organization in Kenya dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities and creating sustainable pathways to social and economic development. Through education, women and youth empowerment, peace-building, environmental conservation, and sustainable livelihood initiatives, we work alongside communities to identify local challenges, develop practical solutions, strengthen resilience, and create opportunities for lasting change.
